Titus Andronicus

Set in the beautiful Richardson Auditorium at Alexander Hall, Joe Cermatori directed a starkly stylized vision of Shakespeare's violent tragedy. The entire play was done in half-mask, forcing the actors to create the roles with their voices and bodies. PQ played the role of Lucius.

Hysteria

Terry Johnson's Hysteria is equal parts farce, historical drama, and psychological exploration. PQ's comic performance of Salvador Dali gained him his first notice as a young actor and was the reason he was cast in several of the roles that followed.

The Illusion

Tony Kushner's "The Illusion" is a play of archetypes: the hero, the damsel and the villain. Paulo created three different interpretations of the antagonist for this piece.

Men Without Shadows

PQ played Canoris in this translation of Jean-Paul Sartre's "Morts Sans Sépultures," performed at Princeton's Theatre Intime.

South Pacific

Performed in the beautiful Victoria Hall at the New Jersey Perfoming Arts Center (and then on tour throughout New Jersey,) this was PQ's first experience on a professional stage. He appeared as Cmdr. Harbison, and understudied the role of Joe Cable.

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

The oldest project of PQ’s that we could find was a small production of Clark Gesner’s subtle stage musical. PQ played Schroeder. The play was directed by Rem Johannsen, with the help of Gesner himself. This would be the last production that Gesner would work on before his death in 2002.
