This adaptation of Chuck Mee's Bacchae 2.1 starred PQ as Dionysus. Chuck Mee himself worked with PQ and director Greg Taubman during the creation of this play, exploring the process of writing and performing the part.
PQ on The Bacchae 2.17: "It was such a great oportunity. Chuck [Mee] wasn't directly involved in the play but rather we were working separately with him in order to inform the adaptation of the play. Dionysus was a really great role to get to play, especially in the context of Chuck's version of the play, which gives Dionysus a lot more to do. And Chuck's plays are so fantastic for an actor because he gives you so much to play with. Greg [Taubman] decided we should do it all while doing these acrobatic structures with our bodies, creating weird shapes and making odd pictures on stage. All the while I'm delivering these long, intricate speeches."
